About Lianne McNally
After graduating with honors from Stanford University, with a major in English and a focus on creative writing, Lianne McNally worked in television production at CBS, HBO and Showtime, among others. She went on become an award-winning writer, producer and director. Today, Lianne McNally’s work includes producing and directing promotional and advocacy films for nonprofits.
As part of her portfolio, Lianne McNally created a video about boating in the Bronx for New York Restoration Project. In an effort to revitalize natural spaces of New York, actress/singer Bette Midler founded NYRP, which has since acquired and redesigned over 50 such spaces. The video documented the creation of the Peter Jay Sharp Boathouse and rowing programs on the Harlem River.
McNally’s other productions for nonprofits include a video on a model solution for New York’s homeless problem, produced for the Doe Fund, and videos for SKIP of New York, an organization that helps medically fragile and developmentally disabled children live at home with their parents instead of in hospitals and institutions.Education
